Exporting from CS Imaging.

CS Imaging (Carestream, formerly Kodak) powers CS 8100/8200/9600 units. DICOM export is available from the patient browser for both 2D and 3D.

Open patient images
Open CS Imaging for the patient and select the OPG thumbnail.

Export
Right-click → Export, or File → Export. Pick DICOM if offered, otherwise TIFF/JPEG at original resolution.

Open the Export panel
Open the patient's scan in CS Imaging, then go to the Export panel on the left of the home screen. Don't screenshot the 3D viewer.

Right-click the volume → Save as
Right-click the most recent CBCT volume and choose 'Save as' from the menu.

Set format and compression
File format: 'CT (one file per slice)' — the label is literal and it is exactly what we need. Don't pick an option that writes the volume as a single file. Compression: 'Uncompressed'.

Leave both boxes unchecked
Leave 'Anonymize' unchecked — an anonymised scan can't be matched to your case — and leave 'Create DICOMDir' unchecked too.

Verify, then zip
Open the export folder: you should see several hundred .dcm files, one per slice. A single large .dcm means the volume was written as one file — redo the export with 'CT (one file per slice)'. If you see .xstd or .opt files instead, the export was proprietary rather than DICOM — redo it. Compress the folder to one .zip and upload.

[ TIPS ]

CS units sometimes offer a 'DICOM media (with viewer)' export — the viewer is unnecessary; slices alone are fine.
Check the file extensions before uploading. Carestream's proprietary .xstd and .opt formats look like a successful export but we can't report from them.
A single large .dcm (a multi-frame or 'VOL' export) cannot be forwarded for reporting and will have to be exported again.
