Exporting from i-Dixel.

i-Dixel manages Veraviewepocs and Accuitomo units. CBCT volumes export as DICOM slice sets from the volume viewer.

2D images (OPG)

    Open and select

    Open the patient in i-Dixel and select the panoramic image.

    Save as image

    Use File → Save Image / Export → JPEG (maximum quality) or DICOM where available.

CBCT volumes (3D)

    Highlight the volume

    Open the patient in i-Dixel and highlight the CBCT image you want reported.

    Save to DICOM File

    In the Tools area, click the arrow-pointing-to-a-disk icon, then choose 'Save to DICOM File' → 'Axial Image'. This writes the volume as a stack of axial slices, one .dcm per slice — which is what we need.

    Set Thickness and Interval to the lowest values

    Turn Thickness and Interval down to the lowest numbers the dialog allows, then click OK. Leaving them high produces a coarse volume that looks like a normal export but has lost the detail we report on.

    Accept the Accession Number

    When prompted for an Accession Number, no changes are needed — just click OK.

    Find the export folder

    i-Dixel writes to its configured Exports folder — you don't choose the location. It is usually C:\JMoritaMFG\3Dx\Simulation, in a sub-folder named with the patient ID, an underscore, and the date and time (e.g. 000031426_20210715100421).

    Check the folder, then zip

    Open that sub-folder and confirm it holds hundreds of .dcm files, one per slice — a single large .dcm is a multi-frame export we can't forward for reporting. Then right-click the sub-folder → Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder, and upload the .zip to us.

[ TIPS ]

  • You can't pick the destination on the way out — if you can't find the export, look in the Exports folder configured in i-Dixel rather than on the Desktop.
  • i-Dixel has no anonymisation step in this route, but if we tell you the scan arrived anonymised, contact J. Morita support — we need the patient details to match the scan to your case.
  • A single large .dcm (a multi-frame or 'VOL' export) cannot be forwarded for reporting and will have to be exported again.
